In June 2025, NSF–DOE Rubin Observatory released a video showing more than 2000 discoveries of asteroids and comets as part of the public’s “First Look” at Rubin imagery. The sheer number of discoveries, contained in just seven nights of Rubin data, gave us a glimpse of Rubin’s power when it comes to detecting faint objects orbiting in our Solar System.
